I love watches. And I love photography.

Watches and cameras have been part of my life for quite some years, from when setting the date was a significant task and my Canon 300D was firmly locked on automatic settings. As my interest and knowledge in watches escalated, my photography skills needed a proper boost.

The gamechanger was four small clicks to the left, from auto to manual settings. I remember feeling scared as the camera turned from an easy-going gadget to an advanced instrument, not following my orders. F-stops, ISO, and shutter speed were new, formidable opponents.

Days and weeks went by, but as the frustration reached new heights, I discovered some patterns in all the images. Slowly, I drew some lines between the different settings and the pictures on my screen, how certain expressions and styles linked up with the F-stops and shutter speed.

Getting the hold of the basics, I started to pursue the small steps that had ended up as exciting expressions, trying to recreate what I had done to create these images. This period is when things started to happen, when I got the upper hand on the equipment, tweaking the settings from left to right, adding and removing light sources, reflectors, and mirrors.

Months, years, and thousands of images later, I created the site «A Chickenwrists Delight,» where I made reviews of watches. This period was when I got deeper into microbrands, a period I am very thankful for as I got to know a bucketload of new and upcoming brands and, most importantly, the people behind them.

After some years of making my reviews and photography as A Chickenwrists Delight, my love for watches, photography, and people, in general, turned into a full-time job. The Norwegian brand Micromilspec was looking for new faces, and I was the lucky guy to join the brilliant team.

The years I spent with Micromilspec were superb. One of the highlights was when we did the one-of-a-kind watch for Erling Braut Haaland when he played for Borussia Dortmund, a custom-made chronograph with a carbon case, a Vaucher movement, and tons of personal details.

Many projects later, where we made matches for military units, first responders, pilots, and footballers, it was time for me to step back, refuel, and allow myself to entirely focus on what I love the most; Watch photography.
